Debbie McGovern

Office Manager

Debbie has been in clerical work since she was 18 years old. Starting as a file clerk with a major insurance company in Downtown Chicago, she oversees the day-to-day operation of Office Operations at Lif-Tech.

 

Her personality is contagious, and callers often find themselves suddenly engaged in fun conversation. Debbie has a knack for voice recognition that is uncanny, and her memory for our Customer's interests and birthdays is keen. She is our greatest Ambassador.

 

Mother Hen to everyone at Lif-Tech, her personal interests include gardening, baking, and her clowder of cats.

Joe Partoll

Service Manager

Joe has known ambition and hard work all his life. Born and raised on a farm in rural Wisconsin; at age 18, Joe moved himself to Illinois for formal training as a Technician at Universal Institute of Technology. Joe worked his way through school as an auto mechanic for a national auto center chain. In 1992, Joe joined us at Lif-Tech as an Apprentice. He quickly learned his craft, working his way up to the position of Service Manager.

 

A Certified Master Mechanic, Joe is no paper-pusher. He understands the complexities of Industrial Equipment in technical terms, and can answer any Customer question. His Shop is run tight and on time. A man of his word, Joe will do what is necessary to fulfil promises made to our Customers.

 

A proud father, Joe’s interests range from NASCAR racing to house rehab. He is always lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors.

Carlos Figueroa

Parts Manager

Carlos has been in the Parts business for nearly three decades. These many years of experience has given him a great advantage over others. He has a good understanding of the technical side of Industrial Equipment. This enables Carlos to understand what part is really needed – something that is very rare in the parts business. His experience has also allowed him to make many friends and connections over the years. Carlos is able to use this nexus for the benefit of our Customers.

 

A proud grandfather, Carlos is a wizard with Graphic Design programs. His main interest is music. A masterful bassist and percussionist, Carlos loves to play with his band, often wowing the weekend visitors to Chicago’s Humbolt Park..

Kevin Glass

Road Lead

Kevin has been with Lif-Tech since our first year of operation. Coming on as an Apprentice, Kevin learned his craft through hands-on experience. Always eager to take on a new challenge, Kevin soaked up knowledge like a sponge, while gaining important experience, earning his ASE Technical Certification in the process. Kevin quickly moved to Road Service where he was able to hone his people skills.

 

As Lead Road Tech, Kevin has taken the responsibility of seeing that our Road Service is performed the right way. Kevin is our Go-To guy for the elusive, intermittent, and baffling on-site problems.

 

Kevin’s likes to motorcycle in the summer and play on-line poker. His bowling skills are outstanding, with a 203 average garnered at the 2009 USBC Las Vegas Open Championship.

Jason Biggs

Sales Manager

Having Graduated from Northern Illinois University, Jason started off in Financial Sales for Deutsche Bank. After getting his feet wet in Sales, he moved into Material Handling, working for a wire deck manufacturer.

 

Soon, Jason was entrusted with the responsibility of opening two distribution centers in a new market on the east coast. After a successful 3 years, he shifted his focus towards the Lift Truck side of business. A relative new-comer, Jason joined Lif-Tech in 2009, bringing his vast knowledge and experience in Storage Technologies, and adding a new layer of support to our company.

 

Outside of work, Jason's favorite activity is 16” softball; playing as much as 4-5 nights a week. While he enjoys all sports activities, Jason, a Chick Evans Scholar, particularly enjoys golf.

John McGovern

Customer Support Leader

John got a start in lift trucks as an Apprentice for a major OEM dealership in 1977. His electronic background was a big plus, melding seamlessly with his newfound mechanical skills. He was soon doing Journeyman work by his second year and moved on to more challenge. John found it with another company working as Lead Shop Mechanic for another OEM dealer. After a couple years, John worked as a Road Mechanic, gaining people-skills, which would prove invaluable in the future. With more skills in hand and a new challenge to be found, John moved on to an OEM Dealer as Service Manager. Again, Challenge beckoned, and in 1987 Lif-Tech was founded. John quickly found himself wearing every hat he had previously worn.

 

John’s interests are varied. His geek side is seen by his penchant for computer programming and ham radio. He is also a skilled carpenter, with a passion for finish work. An Audiophile; he has first-class home stereo, and built a competition-quality 2,700-watt car stereo system.
