Our Warranty
Since our beginning in 1987, we have prided ourselves in the quality of service we provided. This pride didn’t end with the completion of the job, but continued long thereafter. Our warranty at the time was 90-Days – longer than most of our competitor’s 30-Day warranties. Out of fairness and pride, we found ourselves honoring any failures long after our warranty expired.
Since we were honoring warranty work after the actual warranty expired, we thought we should put it in writing and give you, the Customer, all the advantages a written warranty has to offer. In simple terms, we will warrant all repairs for 6 Months or 1,000 hours of operation. Rebuilt engines, transmissions, and drive motors are warranted for 1 year or 2,000 hours (see Drivetrain Warranty).
What is not covered by our exceptional warranty are Customer-authorized used parts and repairs which would normally require re-sizing or rebuilding; but at the Customer’s request, were not repaired as such (e.g. leaking hydraulic cylinders with questionable chrome or bores, smoking engines, badly corroded radiators, etc).

WHO MAKES THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
Lif-Tech Material Handling, Incorporated (Lif-Tech) warrants that repairs made to customer (Customer) equipment shall be free from defects in workmanship and parts. This warranty covers materials and labor; including any travel time or cartage, if applicable, to correct any defect in workmanship arising from repairs pertaining to the original repair order (Service Order).
WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
Lif-Tech warrants that repairs made to customer (Customer) equipment shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for six (6) months or 1,000 hours of use, whichever comes first, measured from the date of the first repair and the hour meter reading shown on the original Service Order. This warranty is conditioned on the equipment being subjected only to normal use, and receiving reasonable and necessary maintenance during the warranty period. Warranty repair costs shall in no case exceed the costs of the original related repair or service. If there is a defect in either materials or workmanship within the warranty period, Lif-Tech shall have the option to either perform remedial service work at no charge to you, replace the defective warranted part(s) without charge to you, or refund to you the entire charge for the warranted repairs, minus any previous refunds or credits.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE
Call Lif-Tech at 630-543-8838, between the hours of 7 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Warranty service shall be performed by Lif-Tech or authorized representatives exclusively. All claims under the warranty provided herein must be made within thirty (30) days from the date of discovery of the defect. Failure to notify Lif-Tech a warranted defect within thirty (30) days of its discovery voids Lif-Tech’s obligations hereunder.
WHERE WARRANTY WORK IS PERFORMED
Lif-Tech shall have sole discretion as to the location where warranty work shall be performed (e.g. Customer location or Lif-Tech’s shop facility).
WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
- Fuses and bulbs. Other selected electrical parts that are marked as such on the original Service Order. Seats and tires are covered under the Original Manufacturer's Warranty only.
- The warranty provided herein does not cover charges for labor or other costs incurred in the troubleshooting, repair, removal, installation, service or handling of parts where it is found that there is no defect in parts or workmanship as outlined above. Standard charges shall apply.
- The warranty shall apply only to parts and labor as outlined above; and in the case where the affected equipment shall be out of service, no substitute equipment shall be provided at cost to Lif-Tech. The Customer shall be responsible for any replacement rental costs until all repairs are effected.
- The warranty provided herein shall be void and of no effect in the event that (a) the equipment has been operated outside its designed limits; (b) the product has been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident, improper or inadequate maintenance, extreme environments or excessive thermal shock; (c) unauthorized modifications are made to the equipment which affect said repairs; (d) the equipment is not operated in compliance with the manufacturer’s printed instructions; or (e) the serial number of the product has been altered, defaced or removed. The warranty provided herein is for repair only. Lif-Tech shall not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, or expense of any kind arising from failure of covered equipment or a breach of the warranty. Further, Lif-Tech shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of revenue, profit or use, arising out of a breach of this warranty. The disclaimers of liability included in this paragraph 3 shall remain in effect and shall continue to be enforceable in the event that any remedy herein shall fail of its essential purpose.
- Damage to other assemblies or components including consequential damages, such as damage to other assemblies and components resulting from the repair or replacements, defective parts or installation of such parts.
- Damage to original repairs caused by the failure of other parts or assemblies not covered in this warranty.
- Repairs covered under a separate warranty as indicated on the Service Order or original Service Estimate. This warranty shall not apply to those repairs made at Customer’s choice and not recommended by Lif-Tech. Certain repairs will be marked on the Service Order as “No Warranty” or words to the effect that clearly convey no warranty is applicable. This warranty shall not apply to used parts; except in the case of a defect in installation, labor to install said part shall be honored.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES. LIF-TECH MATERIAL HANDLING, INCORPORATED SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
No person or entity is authorized to bind Lif-Tech to any other warranty, obligation or liability for any Lif-Tech repair. Acceptance of Service Estimate; oral or written, or signed Service Order by a Customer Representative for which this warranty is issued shall constitute acceptance of the terms hereof.

1 Year Drivetrain Limited Warranty

- External or extraneous components: (a) In the case of a Rebuilt Engine: External Accessories such Water Pumps; Alternators; Hydraulic Pumps; Transmission Pumps; Carburetion or other Fuel components; Exhaust Systems; Cooling Systems; Electronic Control Systems and Sensors; Starting System components; Motor Mounts; or Accessory Belts. (b) In the case of a Rebuilt Transmission or Electric Drive Motor: External Units such as Brakes or Parking Brake assemblies; Motor Mounts; or Final Drive components, including, but not limited to: Reduction Units not integral to the transmission or drive motor; Differential Housings and Internal Components. (c) Parts or repairs covered under other specific warranties or covenants.
